Prior to placing your home on the market, making a few easy improvements will greatly enhance the marketability of your property. This home received new Plantings, Diamond Edging, Cedar Mulch, Black Rubber Mulch in the Play Area, and the entire back yard was stripped of the old dying grass, regraded, and given New Sod.
DEXTER, MICHIGAN; RAISED PATIO REBUILD
This Raised Patio in Dexter, MI had been disturbed years prior by a contractor replacing the weep tile around the basement walls. The contractor back filled with fill sand, and did not replace the gravel base materials required for a successful paver installation. It is not likely the sand was properly compacted either. This resulted in the patio settling where the soil had been disturbed. Also, the entire patio had trapped water due to the resulting negative grade and had suffered frost heave/movement.
All the pavers inside the Raised Patio Retaining walls were lifted up and set aside for re-installation. The Retaining walls near the house were also lifted and set at the proper level to prevent water from becoming trapped.

New Landscape, Retaining Walls, Regrading and Mulch
Are you having water problems in your basement? 
Another one of our specialties is water diversion and re-grading. If the grade along your basement walls is retaining water we can help. Having a hill behind your house can divert surface water directly to your basement walls. The grade at your foundation walls should slope away from the house at a minimum of 1/4" per foot. More is better when it comes to drainage.
Gutters should also be kept clear and when possible, gutters should be sleeved so that water is not trapped inside the landscape or sidewalks adjacent to your house. We have resolved many drainage issues over the years.
This home had a large hill behind it with water being diverted into the corner. By adding a retaining wall, adding topsoil and regrading, we diverted the water away from the basement walls. We then added mulch to the beds, re-seeded the turf, and added plantings for increased curb appeal.
BRICK PATIO REBUILD AND PAVER JOINT MAINTENANCE
We are happy to provide maintenance of any type of Brick Paver Installation. One example of the many services we provide is this 12 year old brick patio that we restored last week of March. The jointing sand had been washed away years prior, contributing to minor movement in the border bricks located just inside the retaining walls. The sidewalk also had paver joints that were in need of sand and weeds had begun growing in the joints. After all growth was removed, and all bricks restored to their original appearance, polymeric jointing sand was installed.
